Village Inn Meat Raffle Update – 2026
The Glenwood Fire Department will be trying a slightly updated format for our Village Inn Sports Bar & Cafe Meat Raffles in 2026.
What to expect:
• $2 per ticket
• 15 rounds per raffle
• Three winners each round
How each round works:
• The winning number and the number immediately before it will win meat prizes
• The number immediately after the winning number will win a drink prize
Example: If the winning number is 15, tickets 14 and 15 win meat, and 16 wins a drink.
After all 15 rounds, if participants would like to keep things going, we may continue with:
• Animal races, or
• Raffle-style rounds for Minnewaska Meats gift certificates
We sincerely thank everyone who supports the Glenwood Fire Department’s charitable gaming efforts. These events benefit local community organizations while also supporting the fire department and its mission to serve our community. We’re grateful for your continued involvement in 2026.

The Pope County Museum is presently assisting the Glenwood Fire Dept in producing a roster of all the past volunteer firemen. Although the Museum has vast files and photos of the Dept. there are several years where there are no records for those that served. We have the original men that formed the first crew in 1883 and many other years, however, several years are missing. So if you know of anyone, a family member, neighbor, etc. that served at any time, please provide whatever information you have, name, period served, to either the Museum or KMGK radio. We thank you, every bit of information will be helpful.
We would like to welcome the newest members of the Glenwood Fire Department!
L to R: Cody Bosek, Faline Yackel, Matthew Chaffer, Colton Majerus, Tyler Hagen, and Connor Dahlgren.
Dan Douvier was honored at last month's Glenwood City Commission meeting for his dedication to our community. Dan retired in June after 36 Years of Service to Glenwood and the surrounding communities.
